Natasha, I may need you to look into something in Thorne for me. I had met with Josselyn Creed during negotiations, she told me she had trade routes throughout all of the factions with her family. She agreed to give us more supplies for Libertas. She's been reported missing in Solvunn, it got me thinking. So I went investigating with my friend Alucard, and we found that some of the shipment she sent had rotten supplies.
But here's the thing: Alucard told me it's not rotten wood, it's rotten flesh smell he's smelling (he has super scent). We don't know if this is going to be helpful at all, honestly, but we may be going to Solvunn to see if there is a connection. I was told that Josselyn also sent grain to Thorne.
If there is anyone in Thorne that has super smelling abilities (I don't know if you have any vampires), it may be worth looking into. I don't know how you'd convince them to look, outside of saying it may have been infected or something. This may not amount to anything, but it's weird as hell, that's for sure.
When I met her, she seemed very enthusiastic and excited about helping. Now I can't help wondering if it was because this gave them an excuse to get into guarded cities easily. That's assuming the worst of her, she may also be a captive. But my instinct told me to look closer at this, and we did find something.
I've been looking into her since her name kept coming up during the negotiations. I wasn't sure if she was involved or being set up. But it's looking more and more like she was very much involved and very good at covering her tracks.
Do you have any idea what the wood you received was?
It looks like the majority of the wood was normal, only a part of it was rotten. Possibly so as not to make anyone suspicious. They had moved the slightly rotted parts away, but now it's fully rotted through, the foreman was surprised, he hadn't seen it happen. Alucard says it smells like flesh, which is very creepy, and also confusing. We're trying to see if we can go to Solvunn ourselves and follow the scent.
He can probably describe it to someone if you end up having someone with advanced senses over there. If not just have them check the grain, if a section taken from Solvunn is rotted, regardless of smell, it would fit in with this.
I may have someone who can help. I'll have her contact him for more information.
I don't suppose you have anyone down there who can look into if it actually IS just wood or something else hidden there? Or why it smells like flesh instead of wood? Trying to follow the trail of it to Solvunn is a good idea too.
I don't think it just smells like flesh, for whatever reason I think it is. Alucard's nose doesn't lie. What that means, don't ask me yet, it's bizarre. I think we're going to get permission to go to Solvunn, I'm going to find out where Josselyn lives, see if the trail connects there and where it goes.
Also, we've had people use our tracking receiver at various locations on the continent and we think we're getting closer to a final radius. Viktor is working on the next upgrade and then I think we know what next steps will be.
Stephen is working on it from your end, but we'll take pretty much any news of the north-east coastline there. Based on the info we've gotten from all over the map, we're pretty sure it's up there closer to you. No promises yet, but we're getting there.
[ That's news, and definitely something she'll relay. ]
We've had odd reports coming in from the coastline since before the Summoned went missing and we've been looking into it on our end as well. I'll let you know if we hear anything more that might be relevant.
