I'm actually a scientist, not a blacksmith, my family business is creating tools and smithing, so I already had those skills from growing up in a forge. I had this theory that magic could power technology, that they could be used together. I was doing highly illegal experimentation to prove it and I got arrested, Viktor actually arrested me on behalf of our mentor.

We created these incredible machines called the Hexgates, they can teleport anything across the world in a single instant. It changed all the trade routes and economy.
