Jayce has already admitted to being pretty oblivious to attention, and if he thought Viktor looked at him at any point with attraction, he would have made a move before. His partner is very discrete and difficult to read, but he knows him well now, and he can see it in his eyes, the tip of his ears. And yes, that definitely does puff up his ego, grinning ear-to-ear at the attention. Viktor's attraction is special, he knows it's rarer.
Jayce works for everything he has, he was taught that from his family upbringing, they've always been physical people. He knew how to handle tools, hammers, forges, from childhood. His father used to prefer to make everything by hand himself that he used too, and it crossed over to their work now.
Viktor's hand on his chest feels very real though, in the best possible sense, and he steps in close, his hand moving over Viktor's on his chest. His heart is beating a little faster, just an extra beat or two. "I like having your undivided attention." It's rare! Viktor is even more focused on their work than he is, and he likes watching him when he's distracted. The intense look in his eyes, the expression he makes when he figures something out.
"Fine, I'll be good, but let me have this first." He means being good because he'll go take the shower instead of enticing Viktor to come with him. First though Jayce kisses him again, slow and deep, like they have all the time in the world. And it feels like they do right now, they at least can have a little time all to themselves, before they have to worry about everything else again.
Jayce pulls back before they really get too distracted. He nuzzles his nose. "You have no idea how many times I've thought about your lips."
