Viktor isn't so sure it's always an easy sell, though he imagines someone with a natural charisma like Jayce would be prone to feeling that way. There's a conversation there, he thinks, about belief and how far it can take them against all that wants to stand in their way. Viktor is used to clawing his way up, and more the fool he is that Jayce's enthusiasm often makes him think they've passed the worst of their trials.
All of that is infinitely less important to him right now than this, Jayce saying yes and still keeping him close. He can't help his eyes fluttering shut when Jayce runs a hand through his hair, on the messy side on a good day but even worse with the rain. "Ah, so you're used to being pursued rather than the opposite. I do not find that particularly surprising."
A pause and he regards Jayce again, the same sort of look he gives their equations, a little furrow in his brow. "It still surprises me that you are," he admits. "You're getting my hopes up, Jayce. Now would be the time for second thoughts."
