"I am sure they think it a charming turn in the story, that they went from wanting you exiled to glorifying exactly what you told them you'd do to begin with," Viktor answers, dry but the faintest edge he sometimes gets when it comes to Piltover, the Council, all of it. He learned a long time ago to let go of his indignation if he was going to survive topside, from how easily they threw away food to the two faced social norms. The funny thing about becoming closer to someone was he maybe didn't always have to swallow it, especially when it came to how they treated Jayce.

It's calculated, the perfect chance for Jayce to laugh awkwardly and feign ignorance. "Bad pickup lines maybe. It's far more subtle, I applaud you."
