[ Jayce can tell that was difficult for Viktor to admit to, his own mortality always on his mind obviously, and that even with his new friends, he'd still possibly die without closure or Jayce there. He squeezes his arm around Viktor to give him quiet support and comfort because he is here. Not only did he arrive, he came in the same location, and they managed to get to this place together.
He does feel guilty for his jealousy because he knows it's not rational. His reasonable mind points out how good it is for Viktor to be treated well, and he's met several of his friends and likes them all a lot. It's a fear of being left behind, of no longer being needed now there are options. Maybe a part of Jayce did think that being Viktor's only friend is the reason they were so close, if he'd lose his place of importance in Viktor's heart if he could pick from anyone else. Insecurity is not a new problem for Jayce.
Jayce releases him when he starts to move and smiles up at him when he settles into a new position; he's a big fan of this one. He can look up at his face and frankly, this angle just underlines Viktor's cheekbones and angular face, which Jayce admires. He lets his hands drop to Viktor's hips, thumbs running along his hip bones comfortably. ]
