It isn't that I thought it was impossible. The factions seem inclined to bring in groups of people from the same places, so I always knew it was a possibility, I just-- [This is the hard part to voice.] --I didn't think I would live long enough to see it happen.

[It's not lost on him, how lucky he is. That even, across universes, he and Jayce were able to find each other, and come to this point.

He knows this hasn't been easy. Their reunion was an adjustment for both of them, to say nothing of the secrets they were keeping from each other and how they needed to learn how to function on the same wavelength again. Now, it feels like everything is falling back into place. He knows it's a function of being removed from home, but he thinks he'd like to treasure this while he can.

Jayce voices his insecurities once again, and Viktor still finds them misplaced. He can't think of this as a new life, not when so much from home still haunts him, most of all physically, but he has made new friends, which has been surprisingly refreshing. He knows how hard it was for Jayce to try and insert himself into Viktor's established status here. The fact that Jayce is still worrying about it has Viktor wanting to quell those uncertainties once and for all. He loops himself out of the embrace and repositions again, this time straddling Jayce at the thighs so that they can be face to face. He wants Jayce to see how deeply serious he is, when he says this.
]

Please don't ever doubt how much I care for you. [It isn't an I love you, but in Viktor terms, it's about as close as he gets.] I'm sorry if I ever made you feel that wasn't the case.
