He could stay like that longer, but he has a job to do, and the water is only going to fill up for so long.
Jayce pulls back so he can place his hands on Viktor's chest and focuses. Viktor can probably tell the difference immediately, since before the spread of Jayce's warm healing touch was slow and cautious, as he was new to it, but now it moves fast and powerful. He will probably be able to do this even stronger and quicker in another month, Jayce learns quickly and he's dedicated, but already the improvement is clear.
A major difference is how it touches Viktor's lungs but also seems to cover over the muscles and veins leading to them, healing more than just an organ but all the parts that are tied to it. This is what Jayce meant when he said he thought learning medicine helped because his stronger understanding of anatomy has made his healing locations extremely focused. This is not pain relief, and while not a cure, it will help.
All those times healing, they both knew that something was happening between them, but never took the step further. Jayce does now, leaning in to kiss Viktor the way he always wanted to. It's gentle, loving, coming from the same place that his healing does. ]
