Vertical is a good instinct, given the fact that the real-world diameter of the Singularity is reflected in the Horizon itself--he's already built up, so why not a lower floor, as well? Jayce's worry that the forge will be too hot to put anywhere else is endearing. It gets a little laugh out of him.
