While Jayce starts to work through what seem to be some long-repressed thoughts, Viktor doesn't waste any time. He offers an affirmative noise, but whether it indicates his understanding of Jayce's reluctance to share or agreement that Jayce is, in fact, his type, is slightly unclear. He's not about to answer right away, either, letting Jayce talk while he goes back to kissing his neck.

"You know why I didn't." Their work was too important, though the knowledge that Jayce might have ached for him all these years makes him feel guilty. For his part, it was difficult to watch Jayce pulled away from their work, but he'd always written it off as a necessity. People would naturally gravitate towards the handsome, personable face of Hextech, and in many ways, that's what Viktor wanted. It was better for both of them, to let Jayce handle meetings with sponsors and investors, especially after the Hexgates.

The fact that others wanted Jayce romantically, too, was just an extension of that. Viktor had his suspicions, of course, something they've already discussed, but perhaps he'd resigned himself to the fact that Jayce would always be pulled in a multitude of directions. Need to be so many different things for so many different people. Now, however, Jayce is fully his, and he wishes he could articulate how much that means to him.

"You hid it well." As in, Viktor was never aware of that resentment. His hand skims back down across Jayce's stomach, returning to its spot just at the hem of his trousers, fingers working open the buttons as a reward for his candid answer. He drags his mouth along Jayce's collarbone, and finally dips his hand into Jayce's pants, palm running along the hard outline of his cock inside his underwear. "Nothing was ever serious. Our work was always my priority. So were you."
